Whether they will use any of that information for their own personal gain is up to debate, but seeing as they've previously installed bit miners on their customers computers I wouldn't trust them. As I said, whether they will do anything with that information for their own personal gain is up to debate, but it's still a fact that you cannot stop them from scanning your system, even if you close the client.
